The Surprising Power of Joy – Part 1
“I believe we are in the middle of a divine invitation for the church to enter into greater measures of divine joy.”
Paul writes in Romans 14 that the kingdom of God is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. As a third of the kingdom, joy can be overlooked and underestimated. Joy is more than an emotion, it is an attribute of God’s nature. With radical love and supernatural miracles, Jesus was the ultimate joy-carrier. We have been created and called to bring transformation to a broken world by releasing the kingdom of God: the righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
“Therefore do not let your good be spoken of as evil; for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.” Romans 14:16-17 “As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love. “These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.” John 15:9-11
