The student ministry at Sojourn is designed for the middle school through high school age group (6th grade – 12th grade). We believe they are going to change their world through the love of God. Through a solid foundation in the Word of God, and a practical understanding of how to apply that in today’s world, we are helping them develop a biblical world view and equipping them to advance the Kingdom of God.
The youth ministry at Sojourn challenges the youth to be all God has called them to be. Looking at their Heavenly Father and realizing their true identity as sons, daughters and heirs, results in a life of devotion. The love that burns in God’s heart for them – flowing through them – will change their world and ours.
It’s not enough for our youth to just go to church. The world needs a generation who will be the church and do great exploits for their God. That’s why our youth are trained to pray and proactively care for one another and others as God opens the door.
The youth have special worship services, prayer meetings, Bible study, times of training and equipping and regular local outreaches; all are specifically designed to impact this age group and draw them closer to Jesus. We are grateful for the leadership team God has given us for our youth ministry.
Missions and Special Events
In addition to our local outreaches, the youth make short-term mission trips, usually during the summer months. They have gone on a number of foreign mission trips. They also network with the larger body of Christ and attend youth conferences and seminars during the year. And, of course, they make time for special fun gatherings scattered throughout the year.
