Trauma is defined as feeling overwhelmed, helpless, paralyzed or frightened by a deeply distressing event. The enemy uses trauma to bring fear into our lives to keep us from moving forward in the things of God. Through the power of the Resurrection, Jesus has given us authority over the power of the enemy to cut off the access that he has had to us through trauma.
“Now David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and his daughters. But David strengthened himself in the LORD his God.” -I Samuel 30:6 NKJV
“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” -John 10:10 NKJV
